Step one:

Blow dry hair to tame the bulk of the fly-aways and brush through to get rid of any knots.

Step two:

Section hair into four sections. Start by dividing the hair from the top of the head straight down to the top of your ears and clip out of the way. Then, from the bottom of the remaining section at the back, create your first section of hair to curl. For a natural, beachy look, it’s best to go for medium to large sections to create loose waves.

Step three:

Continue sectioning and dividing hair upwards, toward the crown of the head.

Step four:

Using a set of tongs, clamp at the bottom and wrap upwards towards the roots. You want to be curling the hair in the direction away from your face.

Step five:

Use a styling powder to set your curls and add texture and dimension.

Step six:

Relax the curls a little with a wide toothed comb. Don’t drag it through too hard or you’ll lose too much bounce.

Step seven:

Set with a final spritz of hair spray and your beach vibe is complete!
