Winter can leave our skin in a state of perpetual dryness. With the drop in temperature, we find ourselves opting for heavier moisturisers, more gentle cleansers and any product that says ‘hydration’ on the front!

Companies are beginning to fill the gap between covering up and treating our skin, with a happy marriage of serums, moisturisers and carefully picked ingredients that are beneficial to your complexion now being combined with our day to day make-up products.
Here are our favourite make-up products that hydrate throughout the day and keep your skin glowing throughout the winter months!
For the skin:
Chantecaille – Future Skin Foundation might cost a few dollars but packs a punch in the hydration department! The water-based formula includes seaweed which is a moisture-retaining ingredient. It doesn’t skimp on the pigment either, providing a buildable coverage.
Covergirl – Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation combines Olay’s moisturising serum with foundation to keep the complexion even and hydrated at a very affordable price.
Nars – Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser packs more of a punch than your average tinted moisturiser. It’s oil-free formula provides a sheer, buildable coverage. Plus it acts to hydrate, brighten even fade hyperpigmentation!
For the eyes:
The Body Shop – Colour Crush Eyeshadows are packed with quality ingredients such as marula oil, brazil nut oil, coconut oil and honey. They are smooth, blend-able and don’t dry the eyes out as they create a dramatic colour on the lid.
