Summer Ready Feet

We all know that dreaded moment when you look down at your feet after a long winter. As we start to break out the sandals, sling-back heels and thongs, we know it’s time to give our feet the TLC they deserve and get them looking hot for Summer.

The TACB Beauty department have the ultimate at-home foot treatments that can be made out of products in your fridge and pantry!

Lavender Foot Soak

You’ll need:

  • Bowl of warm water
  • 2 tbs sea salt
  • 1 tbs jumbo oats
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil
  • ¼ cup milk

How to do it:

  • Mix the milk and essential oil together – milk help to emulsify and distribute the oil.
  • Mix all ingredients together in the bowl of water.
  • Soak feet for 10 minutes before moving on to the next recipe!

Peppermint Foot Scrub

You’ll need:

  • 2 tbs raw sugar
  • 1 tbs coconut oil
  • 2 drops of peppermint oil

How to do it:

  • Combine all ingredients. Be careful not to add too much peppermint oil as it can result in your feet feeling cold for a long time!
  • After soaking your feet, rub the scrub all over your feet and ankles in circular motions until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Rinse off and then move on to the next step!

Banana Foot Mask

You’ll need:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • Glad wrap

How to do it:

  • Mash the bananas in a bowl and then apply all over your feet.
  • Wrap each foot in glad wrap and leave for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse banana off with cold water and pat dry.

Tea-tree Foot Oil

You’ll need:

  • 2 tsp almond oil or aloe vera gel
  • 2 drops tea tree oil

How to do it:

  • Mix both components together and simply massage into the skin.
  • Be careful when you next stand up as the oil can make walking slippery!
