New Year, New Ambitions

Here at TACB, we love the start of each new year.

It’s the ultimate fresh start; a time to look at the big picture and completely re-evaluate our lives up until that point.

Where do you want to go? Who do you want to be? What do you want to look back on this time next year and say ‘I did that’?

We have three ambitions for 2017 that might just work for you too!

Make sleep a priority:

It’s becoming less of a secret – we’re a sleep deprived society. With technology, stress and busy schedules, we’re losing sight of what a normal sleep routine looks like. It’s easy to get swept up in the endless list of what we ‘need to get done’. Add to that the increase in women who are both forging a career and caring for a family, the juggling act means that some things will fall away. Unfortunately, it’s often our sleep.

Arianna Huffington brought this to the forefront this year with her book ‘Sleep Revolution’ and we’re taking heed!

You will only function at 100% when you allow your body and mind to recharge as it should.

This year, set yourself a sleep routine that works for you. Allow yourself to wind down in the evening, turn off your phone and get into bed at a similar time each night.

Set yourself a professional goal:

Let’s be honest, most resolutions set each year are in regards to health and fitness. But what about your career? This year, we think it’s high time that you allow your own career to be a priority.

Are you excited to go to work each day? What is it that you’ve been waiting for? What is the role you find yourself daydreaming about, but never thought you could do?

We’ve got something to tell you: you can do it!

At TACB, we are big believers in following your passion and turning it into your career.
This year, we’d love to hear what you’re going to do for you. Make it count!

Say ‘yes’ to new opportunities:

If there’s one thing our students learn here at TACB, it’s that if you want something, you can’t just sit on your hands waiting for it to happen. There are so many opportunities that walk through the door each and every day, you just have to recognise them and have the courage to say ‘yes’.

It’s ok to be a little scared, unsure and even uncomfortable! That’s all a part of growing and becoming the amazing person that you are!

If you do one thing this year, make sure it is to remain open and say yes to everything that comes your way. You just don’t know who you will meet and where life can take you!

What are your ambitions for the new year?

We would love to hear what goals and resolutions you are setting for 2017.

Write them down, put it out there and make it happen!
